CPPM AUDITIONS 2022

Below you will find all the necessary information about your CPPM audition.

 

What to prepare?

Please prepare the following for your audition:

  • Learn a short movement sequence from Gecko’s performance “Institute”. The teaching video with an explanation is available here.
  • Create a 5-minute solo performance that demonstrates your diversity, abilities, vision and style as a performer and performance maker. It can be an extract from your existing work, or you can create something specifically for this audition.
  • Choose and learn by heart a short public speech (from tv, radio, newspaper or presentation) that deals with some aspect that you feel very passionate about, both as a human being and artist. The duration of the speech should be around 2 minutes. This text can be in English or in your native language. Alternatively, you can write this speech yourself and learn it by heart.
  • Choose and be ready to perform one song. If you would like to accompany your song, please bring the appropriate musical instrument with you. You can also use your musical instrument in various creative tasks during the audition.

Please note that it is a physically demanding audition so please bring appropriate clothing for physical work and a water bottle to keep hydrated.

 

Written assignment

There will be a short written task at the end of your first audition day. Please bring your laptop/device so that you could write and submit your written task via email. Alternatively, it is possible to submit your writing on paper. 

 

Interviews

You will be interviewed by the audition panel. The interview schedule will be confirmed during lunch break on your first audition day. 

 

Online information session

We will have an online audition information session for all participants in case you have any questions before your audition.
