At EAMT we offer comprehensive training in both choral and orchestral conducting. These programmes are available in our Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s degrees, with choral conducting offered at both levels and orchestral conducting and wind orchestra conducting exclusive to Master\u2019s studies.<\/p>\n

Estonia boasts a deep-rooted choral culture, evidenced by its nearly 1,400 choirs. Tens of thousands participate in the Estonian Song Festival, with 32,411 participants in 2019 alone. The choral conducting curriculum at EAMT is tailored to nurture talents who can maintain and elevate the artistic quality of this cherished tradition.<\/p>\n
Beyond preserving tradition, our conductors are encouraged to explore new choral works, enriching the musical landscape. Esteemed Estonian composers such as Veljo Tormis, Arvo P\u00e4rt, Urmas Sisask, Erkki-Sven T\u00fc\u00fcr, Ren\u00e9 Eespere, Toivo Tulev, and T\u00f5nu K\u00f5rvits have significantly influenced the world music scene with their innovative works.<\/p>\n
Estonian choirs have earned international acclaim, with the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, Estonian National Male Choir, and Ellerhein Girls\u2019 Choir earning Grammy awards among other prestigious distinctions.
