{"id":5236,"date":"2020-09-12T15:51:56","date_gmt":"2020-09-12T12:51:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eamt.ee\/departments\/composition-and-improvisational-performing-arts\/composition-and-music-technology\/masters-studies\/sisseastumine\/"},"modified":"2024-01-08T17:01:47","modified_gmt":"2024-01-08T15:01:47","slug":"admission","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/eamt.ee\/en\/departments\/composition-and-improvisational-music\/composition-and-music-technology\/masters-studies\/admission\/","title":{"rendered":"Admission"},"content":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"parent":5233,"menu_order":1,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-5236","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":{"is_not_a_page":false,"post_image":false,"page_content":[{"acf_fc_layout":"nupp","button_text":"ADMISSION DATES","button_url":"https:\/\/eamt.ee\/en\/admissions\/admission-dates\/","button_color":"blue","new_tab":false},{"acf_fc_layout":"tekstikast","page_text":"<h1>Composition<\/h1>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit at least 3 own composition (with sheet music and recordings a total of approximately 15 minutes).<\/li>\n<li>Participate in an oral examination where the Board may assess the candidate&#8217;s knowledge of their area of specialization and their understanding of related cultural issues (colloquium).<\/li>\n<li>Submit a portfolio of their original works.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Electroacoustic Composition<\/h1>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li>The applicant must present his electroacoustic compositions in a recording or live performance (a total of approximately 15 minutes).<\/li>\n<li>Participate in an oral examination where the Board may assess the candidate&#8217;s knowledge of their area of specialization and their understanding of related cultural issues (colloquium).<\/li>\n<li>Submit a portfolio of their original works.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Audiovisual Composition<\/h1>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li>The applicant must present his audiovisual compositions in a fix\u00admedia form and\/or live performance (a total of approximately 15 minutes).<\/li>\n<li>\u00ad Participate in an oral examination where the Board may assess the candidate&#8217;s knowledge of their area of specialization and their understanding of related cultural issues (colloquium).<\/li>\n<li>\u00ad Submit a portfolio of their original works.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Examination Board will assess and evaluate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the composer\u2019s artistic mindset and the originality of his\/her creative ideas;<\/li>\n<li>the logic of development and expressiveness of the works;<\/li>\n<li>the technical refinement of the works, the ability to make appropriate technical choices to represent their artistic ideas;<\/li>\n<li>how the applicant fulfilled the length and genre requirements;<\/li>\n<li>the applicant\u2019s understanding of cultural and specialty-specific issues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The examination is evaluated on a scale of 0-10 points.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Recording Arts<\/h1>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The candidate must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>present 10 minutes of his\/her own recorded music accompanied with an explanation detailing the contents of the recording. The portfolio should contain the following:\n<ul>\n<li>A recording of acoustic music;<\/li>\n<li>An overdub recording.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Submit a list of works in the field of sound engineering and composition.<\/li>\n<li>Be able to converse on a variety of topics reflecting professional competence and knowledge of culture and society (colloquium).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The examination panel will evaluate the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sound quality reflective of AES\/EBU standards<\/li>\n<li>Originality<\/li>\n<li>Technique<\/li>\n<li>Musicality<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of musical styles<\/li>\n<li>Creative personality<\/li>\n<li>General knowledge of music and culture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The exam will be graded on a scale of 0-10, with 5 being the minimum passing
