In the book \u201cEduard Tubin\u2019s Formative Years\u201d Mihhail Gerts traces the early life of the composer – his origins, studies, first compositions and work as a conductor. He sheds light to relations with his relatives, teachers, friends and colleagues, thanks to whom a boy from a small village near Lake Peipus became an outstanding composer of the 20th century. Gerts also analyses Tubin’s early works and searches for the roots of his unique style.<\/p>\n

\u201cEduard Tubin\u2019s Formative Years\u201d was written as part of the creative research project KUM-LU6 2024 “How to share the ardor?
