Within his career, Sergio Castrill\u00f3n<\/a> has\u00a0been developing the practice of improvisation within diverse music territories and genres, as well as\u00a0collaborating in\u00a0different performing and visual art projects that include artistic research, education and science. Castrill\u00f3n works as a part time teacher at the Global Music department at the Sibelius Academy (Helsinki University of the Arts), holding subjects such as Cross-Genre Improvisation, Experimental Improvisation for musicians and dancers, solo cello improvisation, and individual artistic and research tuitions related to composition, improvisation, performance, cultural identity and artistic identity. Since 2011, Castrillon has been teaching and assisting diverse practical and theoretical courses as visiting lecturer within different scopes and institutions in Europe and South America, such as\u00a0 Laponia Improvisations, Music Technology department of the Sibelius Academy, Helsinki Theatre Academy, Helsinki Fine Arts Academy, University of Helsinki, Helsinki Conservatory, Music Academy of Oslo, Estonian Academy of Music and Theater, Tartu Heino Eller Academy, Basel University, FLUSS Austria, University of Caldas, Javeriana University, Conservatori del Liceu Barcelona, ESMUC, Conservatory of Gran Canaria, and Latvian Conservatory, among others.<\/p>\n"}],"bind_production":false,"bind_project":false},"yoast_head":"\nImprovisation course.
