L\u00c4BU (\u201ca mess\u201d in Estonian<\/em>) is what we all must deal with after a long night of celebrations. It\u00b4s the physical pain in a body full of vivid sensations. The noise in a head filled with joyful thoughts. It\u00b4s our private space reduced to a total mess.
\nAfter 3 months of highly intensive workshops guided by a team of inspiring artists from all kinds of places and practices, the CPPM students are faced with the impossible challenge to make immediate sense of the overload of information. They are required to distill the essence of what inspired them the most, integrate it into their own artistic practice and make an exciting solo performance out of it. And it must happen in less than 2 weeks. The result, L\u00c4BU, will be shown to an audience on 2 different occasions. What for? The Laboratory in which innovation is concocted is a messy place, L\u00c4BU, where chance plays a major role. We are not looking for well-polished plays, we want these works to be truly experimental, and artists to be a bit reckless. Therefore we call them solo prototypes, hypotheses of groundbreaking creative practice yet to come. And You are invited to join us, in the L\u00c4BU of contemporary performance.<\/h3>\n

Who am I? Where am I and what is happening?<\/em><\/p>\n

We are constantly longing for existence. Because we don’t know exactly what it takes to confirm our existence or what makes us exist.<\/em><\/p>\n

So where can we find our existence?<\/em><\/p>\n

Humans are subjects and are assigned to naturalistic and mechanistic explanations of the various capacities and states of human cognition and emotion. Humans are made up of moving microscopic objects, so movement explains everything about people. Since life itself is a kind of movement, the cessation of movement means death. The most basic human need is the desire to live.<\/em><\/p>\n

Human beings must live life in a way that is constantly occurring, balancing, choosing, giving up, acknowledging, and finding their own hope in it.<\/em><\/p>\n

It’s like a universe of grains of rice.<\/em><\/p>\n
