Composer, Conductor, Arranger and Pianist, Ziv Cojocaru is a multidisciplinary musician, active in the fields of classical, contemporary and popular music. Mr. Cojocaru received his Master degree in Composition (with honors) at the \u201cJerusalem Academy of Music and Dance\u201d studying with Prof. Zvi Avni and Prof. Haim Permont. Cojocaru also attended Master courses under composers Fabia\u0301n Panisello (Spain), Philippe Leroux (France) and Ivan Fedele (Italy). He Completed his doctoral degree in composition at the Bar-Ilan University. Cojocaru has also received his master’s degree in orchestral conducting (with honors) studying with Dr. Yevgeny Zirlin and attended masterclasses under conductors Fabia\u0301n Panisello (Spain) and Pierre Andre Valade (France).<\/p>\n

As a composer, Ziv Cojocaru has written commissions for various Israeli orchestras and chamber ensembles. His compositions have been preformed at various festivals and venues including the \u201cEuro Classic Festival\u201d in Konzerthaus Berlin, the Arnold Sch\u00f6nberg Center Wien, the \u201cTonraum 21 \u2013 Festival f\u00fcr neue musik\u201d in Minoritensaal \u2013 Graz (Austria), the \u201cMATA Festival\u201d in New York, the ISCM \u2013 World Music Days Festivals, the ACL Festivals, \u201cIsrael Music Festival\u201d, the \u201cDesert Sounds Festival\u201d, the \u201dGalilee Voice of Music Festival\u201d, the \u201cSpring competitions\u201d and more. The preforming ensembles include the Meitar Ensemble, the Zeitfluss Ensemble (Austria),\u00a0 the Tempera Ensemble, the Tel Aviv Soloists Ensemble, the Israel Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Israel Sinfonietta, the Israel Camerata \u2013 Jerusalem, the Israel Symphonette-Raanana , the Israel Contemporary String Quartet, and more. His works are published by the Israel Music Center (IMC), and the Israel Music Institute (IMI).<\/p>\n

Ziv Cojocaru is the recipient of the 2015 Prime minister Award for composers, the\u00a0 <\/span>2002 ACUM grant\u00a0 <\/span>for excellence in the fields of Composition & Arrangement, the 2000 TAMUZ award (Israel Music Industry Official Prize) as best instrumental performance in a recorded album, and the 2005-2007 Jerusalem Academy of Music & Dance Excellence Scholarships. Dr. Cojocaru is a full-time\u00a0faculty member of composition and theory at\u00a0 <\/span>the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and serves as a board member at the Israeli Composers\u2019 League (ICL). Cojocaru\u2019s works are often recorded and played on the Israeli Radio.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
