YEBRA (Conservatorio Superior de M\u00fasica de Vigo, Spain)<br \/>\n5 and 6 April @13.00-16.00 in A-404<\/p>\n<p>Spanish saxophone player Rafael Yebra studied at the conservatories of Ourense and A Coru\u00f1a. He has also participated in the contemporary saxophone seminar of the School of High Studies of the Galician Institute of Performing and Musical Arts, in the masterclasses and courses of musical specialization such as the Aula de M\u00fasica of the University of Alcal\u00e1 de Henares. Rafael Yebra was vice-director and director of the Conservatorio Superior de M\u00fasica de Vigo. Currently he teaches saxophone at the conservatory and gives maserclasses in the European universities and conservatories within the Erasmus mobility programme. He is also a resident teacher at the Aula Internacional de Saxof\u00f3n de Tui and directs and coordinates the Saxornadas courses since its creation.<\/p>\n<p>In 2009 he created the group MULTIPLENSEMBLE, a group that was presented for the first time at the ARE MORE Festival in Vigo, in collaboration with the Goethe Institut of Madrid and the Al-ga collective, in a monographic cycle dedicated to the German composer K. Stockhausen. He is a member of the saxophone ensemble S@x 21, Taller Atl\u00e1ntico Contempor\u00e1neo \u00a0and has collaborated with the Orquestra Sinf\u00f3nica Vigo 430 and Real Filarmon\u00eda de Galicia.<\/p>\n<p>In his commitment to contemporary music, he has premiered works by Jacobo Gaspar, Jes\u00fas Gonz\u00e1lez, Mar\u00eda Garc\u00eda-Mendoza, Pablo Beltr\u00e1n, Luis Carro, Fernando Buide, Hache Costa, Xes\u00fas Xos\u00e9 Iglesias Gonz\u00e1lez, Eduardo Soutullo, Alicia D\u00edaz De la Fuente, Eckart Beinke, Jos\u00e9 Lu\u00eds Campana, Helmut Oehring and Christophe Havel.\u00a0 Many of their works have been dedicated to him.<\/p>\n<p>He is currently working on different projects in which he tries to combine contemporary classical music with rock, jazz and other popular styles in an attempt to reconcile the general public with current and popular music in a way that allows us to enjoy the sound reality we are living.<\/p>\n"}]},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Saxophone masterclass.
