The Cultural Management MA programme at EAMT is relaunching its monthly open morning seminar series, held on Fridays in an informal, coffee-scented atmosphere. Each session features an experienced cultural manager invited to share their professional journey and insights.

The guest of our upcoming meeting on 12 September at 9:00–10:00 in room A-207 will be Laura Põldma, Marketing Project Manager at Eesti Kontsert.

Laura was born and raised in Tallinn. She began her musical education studying violin, first at a music school, then at Georg Ots Music High School, and later at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Over time, she realised that a career as a professional musician was not the right path for her and decided to pursue a different direction.

She moved to London to study Television Production and remained there for seven years, working mainly in marketing after graduation. With the onset of the pandemic, she returned to Estonia and soon joined Eesti Kontsert, where she has now worked for nearly five years. She started as a Marketing Specialist and, for the past three years, has served as a Marketing Project Manager. Her responsibilities include preparing marketing materials, planning campaigns, setting ticket prices, developing marketing strategies, and liaising with artists and partners. In the past year, she has also gained hands-on experience in concert production—working on events such as the Haapsalu White Nights Festival and regular concert season programming.

Laura holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Management from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre with a focus on young audience development. Her thesis explored the social networks surrounding children’s cultural experiences. She continues her work at Eesti Kontsert as a Marketing Project Manager.

All those interested in the world of music and marketing – students and faculty alike, regardless of their field of study – are warmly welcome to join! The seminar will be held in English.
