Studies

The Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre provides comprehensive training in over 70 majors which are offered through ten bachelor’s, thirteen master’s and one doctoral degree curricula. More information on our programmes of study can be found by clicking on this link. While most programmes of study are taught in the Estonian language, many of our curricula are also offered in English.

While most of the tuition at the academy if offered in the form of full-time studies, some students may decide to enrol in session learning. The academic calendar provides an overview of important dates around which each year is structured. EAMT is a place in which students receive ample one-on-one training with instructors. Much of the study at the EAMT is centered around creative projects, many of which take place in collaboration with professional musicians and collectives as well as theatres. Elective courses can be taken in increasing amounts each year, thereby giving the student the possibility to design their own path of learning.

EAMT is committed to fostering a supportive atmosphere among our students as well as providing the necessary skills for developing a successful career in the fields of music and theatre. As such we provide an on-site psychologist as well as academic and career advisors available to all students. The Academy supports students with special educational needs during the admission and their studies, offering several support services, including teaching aids and creating a suitable learning environment.
