Agnès Sulem Bialobroda is a distinguished violinist and pedagogue, and Professor of Chamber Music (string quartet class) at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon, where she has taught since 2012. She has been a central figure of the French chamber music scene for decades and is widely recognised for her artistic depth and commitment to teaching.

She has performed as a soloist with leading orchestras and ensembles, including Ensemble Intercontemporain, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the orchestras of Cannes and Nice, and the Orchestre International des Jeunesses Musicales, working with conductors such as Pierre Boulez, Maurizio Kagel, Marcello Viotti, and Jean-Marc Cochereau.

Born into a family of musicians, Agnès Sulem began her musical studies at an early age. She studied at the Conservatoire de Nice and later at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, where she was awarded First Prizes in Violin and Chamber Music. Alongside her musical training, she pursued advanced scientific studies and holds a PhD in Mathematics.

In parallel with her solo and chamber music career, she has long been associated with the Quatuor Rosamonde, with whom she has performed internationally and contributed to an extensive award-winning discography. Their work has been closely linked with both the classical repertoire and contemporary music, including collaborations with leading composers of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Agnès Sulem is a highly respected educator and is regularly invited to give masterclasses in chamber music and string quartet performance. In recognition of her artistic and pedagogical contributions, she has been awarded the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre de la Légion d’Honneur.
