Prospective students must:
- submit at least two original compositions (using freely chosen instruments and media) totaling ~10 minutes as audio files and/or live performances; for acoustic works, scores are also required
- be familiar with music from different periods (listening tests)
submit a portfolio of previous works - be prepared to improvise on an instrument of your choice, electronics, sound objects, voice/body percussion
- student candidates with an acoustic music profile must be prepared for a sight-reading test (on the piano) and play a piece of music of their choice on the piano
During the oral interview, the examination committee may test the candidate’s knowledge in a specific field of interest and their orientation in general cultural topics (colloquium).
The examination committee will assess and take into account:
- the originality, artistic persuasiveness, and execution of creative works
- the level of general musical skills and abilities
- the level of specific skills and abilities arising from the candidate’s profile
- the candidate’s orientation in general cultural issues
