ALEXANDER BONDURIANSKY (Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory)

Alexander Bonduriansky studied at the Kishinev Music State Conservatory under Alexander Sokovnin. He continued his piano and chamber music studies at the Moscow P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory under Dmitri Bashkirov and Tatiana Gaidamovich. As a soloist and member of the Moscow Piano Trio he has performed throughout Russia and abroad. He has taught at both the Kishinev and the Moscow conservatories, and, since 1995, has been Professor at the Moscow Conservatory Faculty of Chamber Music. As a leading teacher, he has nurtured more than 250 graduates, including a number of prize-winning chamber ensembles. Many of his former students are now conservatory teachers throughout Russia. He has given numerous master classes and headed the juries of international competitions in Russia and abroad. In 1994 he was honoured as a People’s Artist of Russia.
