The Cultural Management MA programme at EAMT is continuing its monthly open morning seminar series, held on Fridays in an informal, coffee-scented atmosphere. Each session features an experienced cultural manager invited to share their professional journey and insights.

The guest of our upcoming meeting on 27 February at 9:00–10:00 in room A-207 will be Sandra Laura Luhtein, a cultural industries and volunteer engagement specialist with over ten years of experience. She works as Study Department Specialist at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and as Volunteer Coordinator at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF). Previously, she has worked as Quality Control Administrator at Apollo Music and as Research Assistant at Music Estonia MTÜ.

Sandra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Theory from Tallinn University and a Master’s degree in Cultural Management from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. During her Master’s studies, she studied abroad at Sorbonne University in Paris and completed her internship at the Estonian Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale.

Volunteer work is close to Sandra’s heart, both regarding volunteer engagement and contributing as a volunteer herself. Over the years, she has participated as a volunteer in various cultural and sporting events, serves as a board member of mixed choir Noorus, and is involved in the educational projects of the Estonian National Opera. She also began her journey at PÖFF as a volunteer, later becoming Coordinator of Ticket Checkers in 2016 and, in 2021, the festival’s Head Volunteer Coordinator (for approximately 450 participants). In addition, Sandra has coordinated volunteers for events organised by the Estonian Centre for Architecture.

In her free time, Sandra enjoys recharging through dance, theatre and choral singing.

All those interested in volunteer engagement – students and faculty alike, regardless of their field of study – are warmly welcome to join! The seminar will be held in English.
