The EAMT Cultural Management Master’s programme continues its monthly open morning seminar, held on Fridays in an informal, coffee-scented atmosphere, featuring an experienced cultural management practitioner invited to share their insights.
On 10 October from 9:00–10:00 in room A-207, the guest of our meeting will be Triinu Aron, Managing and Artistic Director of Sõltumatu Tantsu Lava (STL / Independent Dance Stage). Triinu has been deeply engaged in the management and promotion of contemporary dance in Estonia. Since November 2005, she has been closely involved with STL as one of its founders continuing to lead the organization as Managing Director today. Her previous professional experience includes working at the Art Museum of Estonia as Marketing Director during the opening of the new Kumu building. Before that, she gained experience in the business sector, having completed a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Management. Between 2004 and 2007, she studied Cultural Management at the University of Tartu / Open University and defended her Master’s thesis on “Art Product and Its Value in the Context of Estonian Cultural Environment.” Since then, she has been dedicated to the field of contemporary dance. From autumn 2008, she has also been among the founding members of the Estonian Dance Roundtable.
All those interested in the world of independent dance management and development – students and faculty alike, regardless of their field of study – are warmly welcome to join! The seminar will be held in English.
