GUILLERMO CORRAL VAN DAMME spent his childhood in Switzerland, Spain and Belgium and has worked as a career diplomat since 1997. He has been on foreign missions to Turkey, Tanzania, Brussels and other countries, and has worked as Head of the Cultural Policy Department of the Ministry of Culture, as well as Cultural Attaché at the Spanish Embassies in Washington and Havana. He has published a collection of short stories, “Mientras crece el bosque” (2015), and numerous short stories in the magazines Granta, Sibila and Librújula. “The Treasure of the Black Swan, a fictional story based on true events, is his debut graphic novel (published in Estonian in 2023).

The conversation, lead by Kai Kiiv, Head of Cultural Management studies, is open to anyone who is passionate about cultural diplomacy.
