Project “Increasing the Knowledge Transfer Capacity of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre” (01.04.2025–31.08.2029)


The aim of the project is to increase the knowledge transfer capacity of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT), and to ensure better societal applicability and sustainability of EAMT’s research activities. To achieve this goal, a knowledge transfer support unit will be established at EAMT, which will enable the best development of the existing knowledge transfer potential by offering products and services that meet the needs of the public and private sectors. The knowledge transfer awareness and entrepreneurial mindset and skills of staff and students will increase. EAMT’s visibility and attractiveness as a research institution will improve. Funding: 485,265 euros.

Project “Involvement of a top specialist for the use of digital technologies in music studies and for the development of knowledge transfer in the field at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (DIGIMU)” (01.09.2025–31.08.2027)


The aim of the project is to use more digital technologies in teaching and learning at EAMT and to create a new digital solution for music education. Within the framework of the project, a top specialist with experience in the successful creation and commercialization of music digital technology works at EAMT, who delivers a lecture course in master’s studies and supervises master’s theses. In the new research group, work is carried out on a practical digital solution in music. The project creates the prerequisites for the wider use of digital technologies for teaching and learning music in the whole of Estonian music education. Funding: 140,146 euros.
