In her book, Urve Lippus examines the historical developments at the Tallinn Conservatory from the late 1930s to the 1950s. The author analyses how the activities of the Tallinn Conservatory were affected by political and cultural changes during and after World War II.
Her study includes personal recollections of former students who later achieved prominence as musicians, composers, and performers. Contributors include such distinguished figures as Veljo Tormis and Ester Mägi.
