Peter Spissky is a concertmaster in Concerto Copenhagen – recognized as one of Europe’s leading Baroque orchestras, and musical director of Camerata Øresund, an ensemble made up of the new generation of early musicians based in Copenhagen/Malmö. In September 2022 Peter Spissky has been appointed the artistic director of Confidencen Opera & Music Festival in Stockholm. As a guest concertmaster/conductor he appears regularly with Barokkanerne (Norway), Finnish Baroque Orchestra, Jönköping Sinfonietta (Sweden), and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra.

Peter Spissky teaches baroque violin at the Malmö Academy of Music and The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen and gives Master Classes all around Europe. In 2017 Peter successfully defended his doctoral thesis ‘Ups and Downs, Violin Bowing as Gesture’, at Lund University, receiving a PhD degree in music and arts.
