
As a musicologist, Anu Veenre’s research primarily focuses on Estonian art music of the late 20th century. Interested in the cultural and political backgrounds of this period, she situates her analysis of the creation and reception of musical works within the context of late Soviet-era musical life and its institutional organization. At the EAMT, Anu Veenre teaches music history courses and fundamentals of research, and she also supervises students’ research papers.
