Antti Hotti is a Senior Lecturer in Piano at the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki. Previously, he taught piano at the Helsinki Conservatory, Turku Conservatory, and Turku University of Applied Sciences.

Hotti began his studies in the Sibelius Academy’s Junior Academy under Meri Louhos and Jussi Siirala, and later continued in the Master’s programme with Professors Matti Raekallio and Liisa Pohjola. As a Fulbright Scholar, he pursued further studies at the Manhattan School of Music in New York with Nina Svetlanova, a former student of Heinrich Neuhaus at the Moscow Conservatory.

In 1994, Hotti won third prize at the Maj Lind International Piano Competition. In 2002, he was a prize-winner in the Artists International competition in New York, which led to a recital at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.

Hotti has appeared as a soloist with several Finnish orchestras and is also recognised for his expertise in classical improvisation. A sought-after piano pedagogue, he regularly gives masterclasses across the Nordic countries, including at the Nurmes Summer Academy, Raudaskylä International Masterclasses, and Enskede Pianodagar.
