Dina Yoffe, originally from Riga, Latvia, began her musical education at the prestigious Emil Darzin’s Special School of Music in her hometown and continued her studies at the Central Music School in Moscow. She graduated from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Music in Moscow, where she studied under the guidance of Professor Vera Gornostayeva, one of the foremost representatives of the legendary Heinrich Neuhaus school.
Dina Yoffe’s concert activities are renowned across many continents, including Europe, the United States, Canada, and Japan. Her international career highlights include performances with distinguished orchestras such as the Israel Philharmonic under Zubin Mehta, the Japanese Radio Orchestra NHK under Neville Marriner, the Moscow Philharmonic under Dmitri Kitayenko, the Tokyo Metropolitan Orchestra under James De Preist, Kremerata Baltica under Gidon Kremer, Sinfonia Varsovia under Jacek Kaspszyk, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the European Soloists Orchestra (Luxembourg), and the Bruno Walter Symphony Orchestra. She has graced the stages of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, including the Barbican Centre in London, Sala Verdi in Milan, Suntory Hall and NHK Hall in Tokyo, Musikverein in Vienna, Hercules Hall in Munich, Salle Pleyel in Paris, Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and the Royal Palace in The Hague, where she performed for Her Majesty Queen Beatrix. In addition to her extensive solo and orchestral career, Dina Yoffe is an active participant in chamber music festivals, performing alongside many internationally acclaimed musicians such as Gidon Kremer, Yuri Bashmet, Viktor Tretiakov, Vadim Repin, Michael Vaiman, and Mario Brunello.
Dina Yoffe has given piano recitals featuring the complete works of Frédéric Chopin in Tokyo, Osaka, and Yokohama. These concert series were filmed and broadcast by Japanese National Television, NHK. She regularly conducts master classes in France, Germany, and at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Since 2000, she has served as a Guest Professor at the Summit Music Festival in New York, as well as at Yamaha Master Classes in Paris, New York, Hamburg, and Tokyo. She has also participated in numerous international music festivals in Europe, Japan, and the United States. Her vast experience has earned her the position of Honorary Member of the Japan Piano Teachers Association and Artistic Director of the Musical Summer International Festival and Masterclasses in Malaga, Spain.
From 1989 to 1996, Dina Yoffe was a professor at the Rubin Academy of Music at Tel Aviv University in Israel. From 1995 to 2000, she served as a Visiting Professor at Aichi University of Arts in Japan.
Dina Yoffe is a sought-after jury member for international piano competitions, including those in Cleveland (USA), Hamamatsu (Japan), PTNA Piano Competitions (Japan), the Chopin Competition (Warsaw), the Liszt Piano Competition (Weimar, Germany), and the Maria Canals Competition (Barcelona, Spain), among many others. Her students, who are winners of national and international piano competitions, have gone on to teach at music academies in the United States, Japan and Europe.
