International soloist and chamber musician Yuri Kot has been Professor of Piano at Kiev National Academy of Music since 1994. In 1995, he was awarded the title Honoured Artist of Ukraine. He is a laureate of the National Lysenko Piano Competition, the First International Prokofiev Piano Competition, and with duo pianist Irina Aleksiychuk, the Golden Autumn title in the First International Competition for Chamber Music Performance, the 45th International ARD Competition in Duo Piano, and the Sixth International Murray Dranoff Piano Duo Competition.

Professor Kot has engaged in many international music festivals including Musiksommer 1997 in Dresden; Two Pianos Plus in Miami; Modern Music Festival in Ban’ska Bystrytsa, Slovakia; Kiev Music Fest; Music Premieres of the Season in Kiev; Regina and Vladimir Horowitz in Memoriam Festival in Kiev; Farbotony in Kanev, Ukraine; International Festival of Krakow Composers in Krakow; Richter Fest in Odessa; and Piano Music Festival Una Tastiera Per Due Mondi in Carrara, Italy.

In addition to concertizing around the globe, Yurii Kot has taught and been on the juries of numerous competitions worldwide. He has given masterclasses in Ukraine, Serbia, Montenegro, Japan, Macedonia, Slovenia, and Austria among others. His orchestral engagements have taken him to Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Japan, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, and the US, and he has served on juries in Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, and Macedonia.
Mr. Kot is a graduate of Kiev National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music where he studied with V. Kozlov.
