The Cultural Management master’s programme continues its monthly tradition of open morning coffee seminars on Fridays, featuring experienced cultural management practitioners.

On 24 May from 10.00 to 11.00 in room A-207, the guest will be Sabine Göritzer, Head of Event Management of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.

Sabine Göritzer commenced her academic journey at the University of Graz, where she pursued degrees in History and Philosophy. Following her graduation, she expanded her horizons with a year and a half of intensive study in the Middle East, gaining invaluable insights into diverse cultures and historical contexts.

In 1995, Sabine embarked on a professional career in the publishing industry, taking on roles as an editor and project manager at a prestigious Austrian publishing house. Seeking new challenges, she joined the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz in 2002 as a Special Projects Officer. In 2019, Sabine ascended to the role of Head of Event Management at the university, where she currently oversees a team of 35 employees. Under her leadership, the department organizes over 1,300 events annually. This includes managing a diverse subscription series that offers main subscriptions, abo@MUMUTH, and options tailored for young audiences, thereby enriching the cultural life of both the university and the wider community. The University of Music and Performing Arts is recognized as the second largest music university in Europe, with a vibrant student body of 2,500.

Throughout her tenure at the university, Sabine Göritzer has also been an active advocate for gender and diversity issues. Her commitment to fostering an inclusive environment is reflected in her respectful and considerate treatment of university members. This dedication to equality and diversity underscores her broader professional ethos and personal values.
