Term 4:
• 1st or 2nd and 3rd movement of major concerto,

• unaccompanied Bach
or a comparable unaccompanied work:

• • violin – 2 movements from an unaccompanied Bach violin sonata or 3 – 4 movements from a partita,
  • viola – 2-3 movements from an unaccompanied Bach cello suite or violin partita or sonata or comparable solo work,
  • cello – 2-3 movements from an unaccompanied cello suite by Bach,
  • double bass – solo suite by Fryba or similar solo work.

Term 5:

• a solo piece and a another work of the players choice or part of the bachelor examination program
 (MIX111).

Term 6:
Bachelor’s Degree Examination (MIX111)

1. violin – 2 movements from an unaccompanied Bach sonata or 3-4 movements from a partita,
viola – 2-3 movements from an unaccompanied Bach cello suite or violin partita or sonata or comparable solo work,
cello – 2-3 movements from an unaccompanied cello suite by Bach,
double bass – solo piece without accompaniment
comparable to the Bach solo works for strings.
2. 1st or 2nd and 3rd movement of a substantial Romantic or contemporary concerto.
3. a work of the player’s own choice.

All works performed at examinations in the Bachelor study program should be played from memory.

Term 1:

• Scales (also in intervals), triads and cadences (in scales with four sharps and three flats),
• 2 etudes.

Term 2:

• Form of variation,
• Renaissance-era (scordature fis) pavane/galliard and a fantasy,
• 2-3 classical or romantic short pieces,
• Technical assessment.

Term 3:

•  A suite for baroque guitar,
• 1st part of a classical sonata or guitar concerto,
• A short harmonic piece from the 20th century,
• Technical assessment.

Term 4:

•  A Baroque-era lute concerto or suite for a Baroque lute (Suite No. 1 by Weiss, etc.) or cello suites no. 1-3 by J. S. Bach,
• A cyclical composition from the 20th century,
• A piece with Spanish or Latin American themes,
• Technical assessment.

Term 5:

• A classical or romantic extended composition,
• 2 polyphonic works,
• A modern composition,
• Technical assessment: scales, triads and cadences in all keys.

Term 6: 
Bachelor’s Degree Examination (MIX111)

• An extended composition.
• A concerto.
• 2 polyphonic works or parts thereof (J.S. Bach, Weiss, Reger compositions for lute, cello or violin).
• A composition from the 20th or 21st century.

About 10 compositions from the music of different eras should be prepared for performance in each study year.
In addition to examination, the learned repertoire should be performed to an audience at least once during a term. Compositions should be performed mainly from memory, except for extended compositions with accompaniment, which may be played from notes.
