Composition
- Submit at least 3 own composition (with sheet music and recordings a total of approximately 15 minutes).
- Participate in an oral examination where the Board may assess the candidate’s knowledge of their area of specialization and their understanding of related cultural issues (colloquium).
- Submit a portfolio of their original works.
Electroacoustic Composition
- The applicant must present his electroacoustic compositions in a recording or live performance (a total of approximately 15 minutes).
- Participate in an oral examination where the Board may assess the candidate’s knowledge of their area of specialization and their understanding of related cultural issues (colloquium).

Audiovisual Composition
- The applicant must present his audiovisual compositions in a fixmedia form and/or live performance (a total of approximately 15 minutes).
- Participate in an oral examination where the Board may assess the candidate’s knowledge of their area of specialization and their understanding of related cultural issues (colloquium).
- Submit a portfolio of their original works.
The Examination Board will assess and evaluate:
- the composer’s artistic mindset and the originality of his/her creative ideas;
- the logic of development and expressiveness of the works;
- the technical refinement of the works, the ability to make appropriate technical choices to represent their artistic ideas;
- how the applicant fulfilled the length and genre requirements;
- the applicant’s understanding of cultural and specialty-specific issues.
The examination is evaluated on a scale of 0-10 points.
Recording Arts
The candidate must:
- present 10 minutes of his/her own recorded music accompanied with an explanation detailing the contents of the recording. The portfolio should contain the following:
- A recording of acoustic music;
- An overdub recording.
- Submit a list of works in the field of sound engineering and composition.
- Be able to converse on a variety of topics reflecting professional competence and knowledge of culture and society (colloquium).
The examination panel will evaluate the following:
- Sound quality reflective of AES/EBU standards
- Originality
- Technique
- Musicality
- Knowledge of musical styles
- Creative personality
- General knowledge of music and culture
The exam will be graded on a scale of 0-10, with 5 being the minimum passing grade
