The EAMT Cultural Management Master’s programme continues its monthly open morning seminar, held on Fridays in an informal, coffee-scented atmosphere, featuring an experienced cultural management practitioner invited to share their insights.

On 7 November from 9:00–10:00 in room A-207, at a meeting titled “Hunger is silencing”, the guest will be Kadri Tali, a Member of the Estonian Parliament who has devoted her life passionately to supporting the wellbeing and professional development of Estonian musicians.

Kadri graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in 1996 with a degree in choral conducting and conducted the girls’ choir Ellerhein from 1992 to 2002. While working as a Project Manager at Eesti Kontsert (1997–2005), she co-founded the Nordic Symphony Orchestra in 1997 together with her twin sister, conductor Anu Tali. From 2011 to 2015, she served as Director of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, and subsequently, until 2019, as Director of the Opera Choir at the Finnish National Opera. In spring 2023, she was elected to the Estonian Parliament (Riigikogu), where she also serves on the Cultural Affairs Committee.

All students, lecturers, and anyone interested in music and cultural policy are warmly welcome to join! The seminar will be held in English.
