Admission Requirements & General Information

These are the individual steps of our general application process for our micro degree.

• The duration of this micro degree is one academic year.
• The price for this micro degree is 1600 euros (800 euros per semester).
• A total of 8 students will be accepted to this micro degree.
• To apply, it is necessary to register as a user of the information system (ÕIS), on the following page: sise.eamt.ee/tk
• You can then apply to your selected course in ÕIS, after registering.
• Please submit your application in a PDF format with the following information and email it to: tkk@eamt.ee
  – your name;
  – experience and education;
  – your portfolio/work as a songwriter, producer and/or engineer (Dropbox link, Google Drive link or a Spotify playlist/link are the only accepted formats);
  – letter of motivation/intention (max. 1500 words).

• The Micro-Degree entrance committee will review your application and invite you to an interview, if you meet the admission requirements listed below.

This micro degree is aimed for students and professionals with experience in the music industry as a songwriter, producer and/or engineer. That means you already need to meet some of our requirements, such as:

• Basic knowledge of music theory, music production, songwriting;
• Basic knowledge of audio recording & processing;
• Basic knowledge of studio etiquette and good practices;
• You must have a good knowledge of one or multiple DAWs, such as Ableton, Logic Pro and/or Pro Tools – (Other DAWs are allowed, but one of those three is preferred);
• You DO NOT need to have a Bachelor, Masters or other higher education diplomas to apply to this micro degree;

Registration opens: April 2024
Registration ends: 1st of June 2024
Interview date: 17th of June 2024
Accepted candidates announcement: 21st of June 2024
Micro-Degree starts: September 2024, end: May 2025
