Admission Requirements
We welcome applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any field who are interested in connecting arts and culture with other sectors or making a meaningful contribution to the cultural field. The programme is particularly well suited to curious, open-minded individuals who are ready to take initiative and learn from different perspectives.
As the programme is taught entirely in English, applicants are expected to have a good command of the language.
The programme typically admits up to 24 students per intake, providing a supportive environment for learning and collaboration.

Proof of previous education: A diploma and diploma supplement (or academic transcript showing grades) are required. Both the original document and a copy must be provided. If you have not yet completed your degree by the application deadline, you may still apply, provided you meet all other admission requirements. If admitted, you must submit proof of your completed degree after graduation.

Application process
The admission process consists of three stages designed to assess your motivation, skills, and readiness for the programme. Progression to each subsequent stage is based on the results of the preceding stage.
- Online application and motivation letter: Submit your application through DreamApply, including a motivation letter prepared according to the provided guiding questions.
- Online entrance exam on 21 May 2027, 14:00–15:30: Complete a graded case-based assignment through Google Forms, requiring you to analyse a practical scenario and propose possible solutions.
- Admission interview: Discuss your motivation, experience, and expectations with the admissions committee. Interviews will take place:
- 2–3 June 2027 in person for applicants based in Estonia, with the option to participate via Zoom if necessary.
- 7 June 2027 online via Zoom for international applicants.
All three stages are assessed by a joint admissions committee representing the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and the Estonian Business School. The same assessment criteria apply to all applicants, regardless of nationality.
Tuition Fees and Scholarships
The tuition fee for the Cultural Management Master’s programme is €3000 per year for EU students and €6000 per year for non-EU students. At the same time, we support students with outstanding academic achievements and socially active students with scholarships*. Available are:
- 1 scholarship covering 100% of the annual tuition fee
- 4 scholarships covering 50% of the annual tuition fee
- 2 scholarships covering 90% of the annual tuition fee, specifically for Estonian students focusing on the specifics of music or theatre management.
In the first academic year, scholarships are awarded based on the admission ranking and results. In the second academic year, scholarships are granted based on academic performance. In both cases, successful completion of the study programme is a prerequisite for receiving the scholarship. Scholarships will not be awarded if the student has any unpaid tuition fees or other financial obligations to the university.
