Main Studies (MIX101) Exam Requirements BA
Voice:
Term 1-2:
- 2 freely chosen vocalises per term;
- 2 freely chosen compositions per term, may be performed from notes.
- For examination, perform 2 old classical arias of different character, 1 freely chosen aria, 1 romance.
Term 3:
- 2 freely chosen compositions (preferably from memory);
- 2 freely chosen compositions (may be performed from notes).
- For examination, perform an old classical aria, an opera aria, 1 freely chosen aria, 1 romance.
Term 4:
- 2 freely chosen compositions (preferably from memory);
- 2 freely chosen compositions (may be performed from notes).
- For examination, perform an old classical aria, 2 freely chosen opera arias, 1 Estonian romance.
Term 5:
- 3 compositions (from memory) from the program of the Bachelor’s examination;
- 5 compositions (can be from the program of the Bachelor’s examination): 1 oratorio aria (preferably with recitative), 2 opera arias of different character, 2 romances.
Term 6:
Bachelor’s Degree Examination (MIX111)
- 3 arias, including one oratorio aria and one aria by Vienna classics or the peak period of bel canto.
- 4 romances.
The program should include works in 3 different languages. Repertoire learned during previous study years may constitute up to 75 % of the program.
