ANA TRIF (Romania)

Born (2000) and raised in Bucharest, Romania. Based in Italy.

Formally trained as a stage actress by the Faculty of Theatre and Film of the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania; and Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica Silvio d’Amico of Rome, Italy.

During her stay in Italy, Ana studied under the guidance of Romeo Castellucci and had Michele Monetta as her Mime and Commedia dell’Arte teacher. During her travels, she trained with the performers of the ex-Odin Teatret (Holstebro, Denmark) and Troubleyn (Antwerp, Belgium).

She makes her debut as a theatre-maker during the 3rd year of studies with When I Said Let’s Get Wet I Didn’t Mean Tears written, performed and directed by her. The show is programmed in numerous occasions both in Romania and Italy, wins the SIAE (Società Italiana degli Autori ed Editori) prize for the best dramaturgy in Italian language, is hosted by the National Theatre of Bucharest and inserted into the dossier of Risonanze Network 2025.
