Conceived as a visceral descent into the layers of our endangered species in denial of its nature, this solo unfolds through a series of cathartic musical Stations.

The audience is invited into an immersive circle, gradually shaped like a giant eye
– an organ of vision turned inward.

At its core stands a voodoo child – curious about human fragilities,
tracing a path from station to station, asking :

where have the repressed parts of our humanity taken refuge?

This solo work emerges in a world haunted by what Agamben calls the destruction of experience – the impossibility of transmitting, receiving, or even recognising human experience within systems that fragment the self and disembody meaning.

Clarisse Degeneffe

Clarisse Degeneffe was born under the black sun of Belgium, where she began her path as an interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of ritual performance, visual landscapes, and sonic pieces.

She later pursued studies in Art History and Philosophy at Panthéon in Paris, where she deepened her understanding of visual cultures, aesthetic theory, and the metaphysical foundations of image-making.

Drawn to animist philosophies and contemporary art practices, she is currently enrolled in the CPPM program in Tallinn, where she sharpens her perceptual sensitivity and explores performance as a space of transformation; a space where sound, gesture, and matter can become tools to access what is repressed, fractured… or simply in transit.
