We are excited to announce that applications for the 2027 intake of the MA in Contemporary Physical Performance Making (CPPM) at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn will open on 10 August 2026. This postgraduate degree offers an exceptional opportunity to train and develop your artistic voice within an international environment shaped by world-renowned guest artists and practitioners who challenge, inspire, and expand what contemporary performance currently is and could be.

 

Who We’re Looking For


We are eagerly waiting applications from international performers, dancers, actors, choreographers, directors, and performance makers who are ready to step into a extremely intense, demanding and artistically challenging, motivating and inspiring environment. The ideal CPPM candidate is:

  • Physically skilled and curious, with a strong interest in embodied practice

  • Artistically independent, ready to generate material and take initiative

  • Collaborative, able to work across cultures, aesthetics, and disciplines

  • Reflective and research-minded, eager to articulate process and develop their artistic practice

  • Ambitious about their future, seeking postgraduate education that supports real artistic growth and professional momentum

Whether you arrive from theatre, dance, live art, choreography, or hybrid practices, CPPM is for artists who want to deepen their physical intelligence, strengthen their authorship, and develop bold new performance realities and voices in an international cohort.
