Simona Medolago
A SPACE OUT OF TIME
Constantly divided in two, my Agave is both the queen and the Bacchae. Under the sun, she is everything and nothing at the same time; she is the blurred copy of what she could be. When surrounded by darkness, she becomes everything and more than everything, revealing the flamboyant image of passion and violence that nobody would expect.
It’s been said that time is supposed to heal any sorrow; everything passes and fades in the memories. But what happens if memories are the only thing left and sorrow becomes the only truth of life? Thirsty for life, in a constant need to transform her overbearing loneliness and sorrow, my Agave is always trying to find a way to put a stop to the only thing that will never stop, time. A mysterious ritual of creating space for something else. Something unexpected.
